So at first i had a meeting at the munich union / verdi to get some information on how much i could and should ask for in this area and what i should be aware of. Then i had three days full of job interviews, a few nice places, a few 'not so nice' places and a place where i felt totally happy and that company offered me a day of trial work on friday which i of course did. And it was soooo perfect. short sidenote: as geriatric nurse in germany in most of the places you run and run and run and leave sad faces behind, can't work the way you get taught during your apprenticeship and just hope everything will go well - which i'm sorry i can't accept, that is not what i did my apprenticeship for and is not what i want to do BUT there are other places, too. Places where you actually can care for people, show what you learned and where it is useful to continue learning. The place i did the trial day at is such a place, i was really happy when they offered me to start on june, 1st. I can live in one of the rooms there for a while, too so i don't have to panic during 'flat-hunt'.

Well, now you might ask why i would want to move to Munich anyways since the flats and living in Munich seem to be quite expensive compared to other areas in germany? Answer is quite easy: I know from my past that i only am happy in big cities (i want to go out, meet people without being scared of missing my train back home and when i'm hungry at 8pm i want to be able to go to a store and get something to eat! And i would die for a starbucks near me or lush or mac or WHATEVER! I even get annoyed when the people at the local bakery know what i want to buy o_O) which limits the places to live already. Then right now i live in an area where flats are really expensive, even compared to big cities and our wages are a lot lower (Btw, Munich has the highest wages for geriatric nurses in Germany). Whatever, from the 'remaining' cities Munich for me is the most beautiful one, a lot of green spots to spend your time at (and black spots, too), lovely dialect, lovely people - haaah, maybe i can find some nice guy there?
Any of my dear readers from munich area? :-D What are the places i should go to or places i should avoid?
That's it for now, next post will come after Wave Gotik Treffen in about 3 weeks - who of my lovely readers will be there, too? Let's meet! But now i will work a bit more on my pokemon sleeve and then start reading my new books :-D have a nice time & weekend :-*
